The NetJets Pilot to Pilot Committee was placed on inactive status in early march. As the Union has matured so too have communications with the membership: Publications such as The Compass and the DYK Series along with the Virtual Steward Program keep the membership adequately informed. Nevertheless, the committee served a vital communications role during the formation of Local 1108 as well as the 2005 and 2007 collective bargaining initiatives. “The volunteers who comprised the P2P Committee worked diligently through some very troubled times to keep the membership informed, to quall rumors and to sooth raw nerves,” Committee Chairman Mike Pascalar said. “The contribution made by these individuals on behalf of the entire membership cannot be understated.” Pascalar urges pilots to continue to seek the assistance of P2P members as many continue to be active on other committees and, as such, remain very knowledgeable about current issues.
