About Brian Ward ... A fervent labor advocate, Citation X Capt. Brian Ward has served his NetJets colleagues in a variety of capacities since the group ceded from Local 284 in 2005: In addition to his work as a member of the Stewards Council, Ward is the subject matter expert for Section 10: Paid Time Off of the 2007 Collective Bargaining Agreement. He is also an active member of the System Board of Adjustment and Compliance committees as well as a message board moderator. During the NetJets pilots’ Teamsters affiliation, he was a lead organizer, helping bring the Flight Options pilots into the fold and working toward a similar effort at Citation Shares. In 1995, Ward graduated from Oklahoma State University with a Bachelor's of Art in Spanish and a minor in aviation. He worked for short time as a flight instructor before moving on to a small Kansas City-based cargo operator and then an air ambulance service in the heart of the Navajo Nation. He then transitioned to Raytheon Travel Air where he worked briefly before accepting employment with NetJets in December 2002.
